Many people don't write because they think that they lack skills. Yet if you properly source your material - that's important to allow others to follow up - all writing of this type is important. My local village and the seeming lack of history or so I thought of it. After many visits to the local library at Maitland, I've learn't a great deal about the village that I grew up in. I might not write a thorough history about it but may down the track begin to document and blog about what is left of it before it turns from rural countryside into a small town of 15000 people.
